St. Bernard’s hosted an all-day forum by the Episcopal Church Building Fund (ECBF) on Oct. 24 to help churches explore ways to address the challenges of having older buildings and find ways to enhance their mission through the creative use of their facilities. Some 37 people attended the “JumpStart New Jersey” session representing many churches from around the state. The Rev. Franklin E. Vilas opened the forum with a prayer. Leading the event were Sally O’Brien, ECBF vice president, and Jonathan Anderson, an expert on change management, with meeting support provided by Brandon Kelly, ECBF.
