Danielle Baker, Seminarian
On September 1, 2019 St. Bernard's Church welcomed Seminarian Danielle Baker. Danielle is a Senior Account Executive at a technology software company where she sells cloud solutions to healthcare customers. She is currently attending Drew Theological School part-time in the Master of Divinity (M-Div) program. Danielle enjoys traveling, puzzles, board games (charades anyone?), wine tasting, spa days, meditating and working out. She is the proud Aunt of two nephews and four nieces.
Her home parish is St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown, NJ where she resides.
David Dockery, Music Director
Mr. David L. Dockery came to St. Bernard’s in March 2008 as Assistant Organist and was appointed Organist and Choirmaster in September 2010. He earned the Bachelor of Music Degree in Organ Performance and Master of Music Degree in Church Music from the University of Michigan where he studied with renowned organist Robert Glasgow, and later earned his Juris Doctor at New York Law School in New York City. David is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, the nation’s premier fine-arts boarding high school, where he studied organ.
Prior to living in New Jersey, David was a church musician in Illinois and Michigan. Notably, he was the Organist and Choirmaster of historic Christ Episcopal Church, Detroit where he directed a professional choir and music program. David also served as Assistant Organist of St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, Detroit, where he accompanied the Choir of Men and Boys which was founded in 1884, one of the oldest of such choirs in existence in the United States today. Alison Davidson, Parish Administrator
Alison, originally from the UK, came to the States with her husband and three young children to live in New York City in August, 200, moving to rural Bernardsville in October 2010.
Alison has over 30 years of experience in administration and teaching. In the UK she worked as a Training Administrator in a large company, then as a Training Center Manager at RAF Henlow. In New York she worked as an Early Childhood Teacher and School Administrator for a small private school on the Upper West Side of Manhattan where her children also went. She volunteered there too and was an active community member Chairing the school’s Annual Multicultural Festival and the Parent Connection Committees.
Along with raising her family she is an avid dog lover, and a very keen hiker, organizing and leading a weekly hiking group. She is also an active member of the Somerset Hills Chorus and resided on the Board of Music in the Somerset Hills. As an ex-pat she is a member of and is on the Board of the International Friends Club (IFC), where she is Publicity Coordinatior and Webmaster.
